Carito, The first line of the first stanza reminded me of Blake's geminatio "Tiger, tiger, burning bright", which I really enjoyed reading. The feeling I had is that the essence all of us have, remains no matter the circumstances we get to go through. The vividness your metaphors trigger, are those of the childhood. Is like being in communion with the power of earth and every living being. The last two stanzas deliver loneliness in a different colour, as a loving feeling, a welcoming one, even to the extent of giving a certain warmth to the very word. Loved it! <3
Hi Caro! when I read your poem I imagined a woman standind and waiting for her lover. I dont know why but it made me remember an old song. I really liked it. Sorry for the delay.
What a beautiful poem, Caro! "A distant star in the sky, though still bright" I couldn't help it relate it to a woman struggle, and the ability we have to stay strong, no matter how harsh is what we're dealing with. Loved it! :)
Caro, your description of loneliness is really deep. I can see elements of both the romantic and pastoral presented. The natural elements give the poem a romantic atmosphere but the personification of loneliness gives it a realistic one. Using she you've made us think of loneliness as being a woman and that's why Aye immediately associated it to a woman's struggles. Congratulations!!!
Caro, I really like your poem. As meli said your words make me think that loneliness is something beautiful. Which in fact it is, because at some point we all need our time of solitude to stay to be with ourselves. I really like it Caro!
Caro, I like your poem! You used the imagery in an amazing way. It was like seeing that girl and those places! Love it 😍
